Brittany takes a wrap around approach to working clients. She is reiki certified and utilizes Expressive Arts Therapy as a specialty. Her population is mainly children, families, parenting, couples and young adults. She uses a Trauma informed lens and somatic work when working with complex trauma, physical/sexual/medical trauma, chronic illness, LGBTQ+ and Transition support, anxiety, self-esteem, body image and depression. Brittany enjoys being outdoors, a mom to humans and her animals, photography, story telling, gardening and more.

Heather Powers, MA

Heather brings a big smile and energy filled with kindness and playfulness. It is clear to see that she has an adventurous soul that brings creativity, humor and self-awareness to build rapport with her clients. She is a Dance Movement Therapist utilizing Expressive Therapy techniques, Ecotherapy, Client-Centered approached with all of her clients from children through adulthood. Heather is passionate around using nature and the body as healing sources as she takes a holistic perspective that is trauma informed and strengths based. She works to have her clients feel empowered to make their own healing. When you don't see Heather doing therapy with adults and teens, you can see her running Rainbow Dance groups for younger children getting caught in a good book. Outside of work she is exploring nature, cuddling with her cats and having game nights.

Emily is a Peer Support with us. She brings a big smile, kindness, creativity, play and compassion in all that she does. Emily has experience working with pre-k to early teenage years. Emily enjoys her animals, being in the outdoors, her family and friends. Currently, Emily has been an active member with our Mindful Trails programs leading or engaging groups and Mindful Trails camp. Emily takes a hands on approach when working with her Peer Supports, mentoring their skills with animal cuddles, arts and crafts, games and more.

Daniel Rinaldi, MA

Daniel is a pre-licensed Mental Health Counselor working towards LMHC hours. Daniel is podcaster, musician, dad and husband who enjoys gardening and being with his animals. Daniel brings creativity and energy to our team. He has experience in grief, CBT, emotion focused work and mindfulness. Daniel works hard to hold space for every person he makes connections with to help them feel empowered and have purpose. Daniel is is accepting adolescent and adult clients over telehealth and in person groups. LGBTQ+ friendly.

Camila Borrero, MA

Camila is a Psychologist currently finishing up her PhD in clinical psychology. Camila brings passion and excitement for the work we do. She has experience working with public schools, agency work, refugees, and in neuropsychology clinics. Camila is empathetic, kind, and easy to connect with. She focuses her work on adolescents, younger children and young adults. Camila is bilingual speaking English and Spanish and empowers a safe space for mutual respect, learning, and growth in all the spaces she brings clients in. In her spare time (what she finds after school/work) Camila enjoys being with friends, family and relaxing.

Marlene Surun, LCSW

Marlene is a supportive and understanding social worker working on her LICSW hours with the goal of bringing more bilingual mental health services to the community, Marlene identifies as a Latina, Dominica-American and a Spanish- Speaking clinician. She acknowledges the important of identity, culture and impacts on our mental health. She is a strength-based, solution-focused, trauma informed counselor that is LGBTQ+ friendly. Outside of work, you can find Marlene with her friends and family , trying out new restaurants and activities, binging the latest TV show and on vacation!

Nuliyar Dursun, MA

Nuliyar is a Psychologist currently completing her Ph.D in psychology. She brings an open amount of experience of community based, wrap around mental health care, individual and family related work. Nuliyar brings calm and kindness to her clients, helping them to make sense of what is going on around them. She brings energy and a drive to treat the client as a whole person and meeting them where they are. When not at work, Nuliyar is spending time with family and self-care. She works with clients from 14+ individually and with families.

Julie is a pre-licensed mental health counselor working towards her LMHC and REAT with various trainings in the Expressive Therapies field including Family constellations work. Julie is passionate about (dis)ability justice and social justice. She works with chronic illness/pain, body acceptance, and LGBTQ+ communities to provide a space to be who you are without masking. Julie brings a contagious laugh and an open, empathetic mindset. She is Reiki certified and practices in a spirituality belief. Julie works with ages 18+ in non traditional relationships, life transitions, chronic/autoimmune and pain support, body acceptance and alternative lifestyles.

Anna is currently in college finishing her Bachelor's degree in psychology. Anna shares her time with BHCW as a college student and employee at Good Pickin' Farm. Anna is energetic, creative, and empathetic. She is experienced with school aged and adolescent kids. She enjoys her time with friends, family, animals and being outdoors. You can find Anna running groups over video and in person or hopping around Good Pickin' Farm in the summer at their farm camp.

Carolina brings energy and excitement in all she does. She is calm and empathetic with a big bright smile! Carolina has experience working with neurodivergent children and middle school/teens/young adults. When she isn't working, she enjoys spending tiem with her family and community.

Samantha Teperow-Pilch, LMHC
Clinical Supervisor
Samantha has been a valuable networker and colleague to us in the field. She has a variety of experiences from community mental health services for youth and families, outpatient, residential and treatment facilities. Samantha has a secondary Masters degree in holistic health with aromatherapy as her focus and how to use this in supporting her clients seek wholistic care. Samantha continues to be a larger support for our staff at BHCW as our Clinical Supervisor and interim role of Assistant Director of Clinical Services as needed.
